5Great for adults, too!Jan 06, 2009
By S. Smith
I bought this for my grandson for Christmas. Not only does he love it, my other grandchildren play, too, even my 4 year old. When they leave, it's my turn. English has always been my subject, but this game is riveting for me, too. There are different types of word games to play, besides creating words. Visually, it is helpful for seniors with lessened capacity. Imagine watching the movie Shrek on the big screen, then having to read it in black and white print in a tiny book. That is what crossword puzzle books are like for me, vs the pleasure of playing Bookworm Adventures in a full color display. It keeps one's mind active to do this kind of activity. Yesterday, a friend's daughter came over. English is a second language for her. She loves this game, playing it not only for fun, but to augment her English skills. I looked long and hard for truly educational games for my grandchildren for Christmas. This one has turned out to be the best of my video game purchases.

5Great fun!Apr 07, 2009
By Kacey
Got to play the first 7 levels of Bookworm Adventures via another game and my 7 year old grand niece was very disappointed when she came to the end so bought the full version for her. We grew up playing scrabble to enrich vocabulary. This is way more fun! Pick from 16 tiles of letters to make words to defeat enemies, usually in the form of mythical creatures. The longer the word, the more damage it does. Kept her striving to come up with more complex words and there was a description of the mythical creatures she was battling so we started reading Greek Mythology as a by product. Great learning game!

4Bookworm AdventuresMay 22, 2009
By Rosemary F. Egan
I had been playing regular Bookworm for a long time so I decided to go further and purchase Bookworm Adventures. I enjoy the game very much it is harder to play then Bookworm but a lot of fun to play. I still have not made it to the last part but hope to make it soon - I keep coming closer and closer.

1Beware, this is not Volume 2.Jun 07, 2010
By Anne "My Viewpoint"
I was searching for Bookworm Adventures and Bookworm Adventures Volume 2 to give as a gift. My search for Bookworm Adventures Volume 2 showed it was carried by Amazon. I bought them both glad that I had finalized my purchases at one stop. When I receivied the items I was VERY disappointed; despite being packaged differently both of them were the first volume of the Bookworm Adventure series.

DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE SEARCHES; DESPITE THE TWO DIFFERENT ASIN #'S and THE TWO DIFFERENT PRICES IT IS THE SAME GAME. The only difference is one just comes in a keepsake case and the has a box that has the keepsake case enclosed inside.
Shame on you Amaazon!

5Fun for all agesAug 16, 2010
By E. Slockbower
I was looking for a fun but "educational" game for my son who is turning 8. When we received this my son, my daughter (13 years old) and myself (past thirty something) all became addicted to this game trying to outwit the monsters with our extraordinary vocabulary. My son especially loved "decimating" the monsters, and I was pleasantly surprised at how many words that he could come up with and spell correctly to defeat the monsters.
