Excellent tool for the house/garden/work !!!!Apr 13, 2010 Compact
Not expensive
Portable - again, good for everywhere!
Easy to buy batteries and tape
Instructions are good BUT some choices are hard to follow
Recommended to buy!
Works fine, problem is it prints twice the label that it needs to.Feb 28, 2010 I'm happy that it is able to print labels, but not that it prints long, wasted space so that you end up having to trim it with scissors every time you print something. I'd recommend buying a Dymo label maker, this one wastes space on every label!

Wastes so much tape!Feb 13, 2010 It prints fine, but really, what labeler doesn't? My main gripe is that it prints with almost 2 inches of blank tape on each side of the word you are printing. And the cartridges costs $20! You can change the margin to "narrow" in the settings, but it only makes one side narrow. The other side still comes out with 2 inches and then it has 2 dots to show you where to cut it. Who doesn't know where to cut a label? Crazy!!!!I would not buy one of these again and will look at other models next time.
Not bad labelerJan 30, 2010 Like the keys, features and option for tape size. Hate - takes too many batteries, no ac cable with it just in case and price was ok (saw it cheaper later in stores).

works okay, but it does waste tapeJan 14, 2010 This label maker works about as good as any other except it wastes tape. There is over an inch of blank tape both at the beginning AND at the end of each label! I have solved this (though it's a bit of a hassle) by typing in several labels all at once (I type as many as it will allow room for), leaving 3 or so blank spaces in between each label. Then, when I print it out I get one really long sheet of labels that I must cut apart. I do this to save tape, but again, it's a hassle. if I were to buy another brand I would try to find one that allowed me to shorten the blank space both before and after (I can't find that this one has those options).
I only use it occasionally so I've had no trouble with the batteries running low, and I find it's pretty straightforward to use.
Since there are other brands that probably work just as well that do NOT waste so much tape, I would buy another brand if I had the choice.
I would not recommend this model, simply for the waste of tape.
