My Nine Year Old Son Couldn't Stop Playing ItApr 11, 2006
By Jeep Girl
I was very happy to find that my nine year old son loved playing this CD. It's running on our Windows XP and we had no installation or operation problems. It was challenging for him but so much fun for him too! I'd buy it again definitely!

A "good" computer game?Apr 18, 2009
Okay, so you read all of the reviews, right? And they all basically said that this is a great game, right? Well, I want to tell you from a kid's point of view about this game. I'm not sure if they show a picture of the back of the cover, but it has skeletons on it (just so you know some of the content of this game). This game is like a spacy, almost alieny game where you have to do math to solve the mystery. You are in space in this weird "space building" and you click around on certain things and then math problems will come up. You are then guided through it by mechanical voices and must solve the problems. It's just weird, maybe if you like this kind of stuff, then this is the game for you. But sometimes, you never know what you're going to get when you buy it. That's how it was for us, all of the reviews said it was an awesome game. When we recieved it, we were dissapointed with what we got. Be an informed buyer!

A Kid and Adult's ReviewMar 15, 2011

""Never regret who you are, only what you have become.""
I played this when it first came out ('97? '98?) and I was 7 (or 8, respectively) years old at the time. Now I am in my twenties and I thought I'd play it for fun (don't judge!), so I feel I have two different perspectives now.
As a kid, this game was fun... but intense. I found myself getting scared at climactic sequences: the "evil" characters can be quite menacing to see charging towards you, the player. However, it kept me engaged. I think if your child is into an adrenaline rush, this is a great game to help them practice math skills. My skills were definitely tested and improved over time.
As an adult (or let's just say a kid in an adult's body), I think the math challenges are appropriate and can be adjusted based on your child's abilities (skill level can be set). I think it's a good idea to sit with them at first and not leave them in a dark room, haha. The music can be nerve-wracking!
I know I've made it sound more PG-13 than it is, but this game really is GREAT and such a fabulous way of teaching math concepts which are otherwise so drab in theory (no offense to any math buffs out there!).

Cannot get to work on Windows XPFeb 22, 2010
By E. Slockbower
After installing the game, when I tried to run it I get an error message that says "need 3mb of virtual memory free". I have plenty of virtual memory and my husband who is a computer expert could not get this program to run on our computer. We have Windows XP and it will not run in the compatability mode. My husband tried to tweek it to get it to run but could not do anything to get it to recognize our virtual memory. There is no technical support available for this game any longer.
