If you are looking for a simple (to a fault) POS this is it. Not very powerful when compared to other systems. If you think you are saving money, beware! The tech support is extra and you must sign up for a minimum contract with a nasty little cancellation fee (full contract amount). I called support several times and never got a call back the same day, sometimes, it took as long as 48 hours. The new POS I purchased has one year of support included (they are awesome). When you calculate the cost of support, LS POS is roughly the same price. Far more powerful, flexible, and expandable.

I use this for quite some time. ( 2 years)
It is a great product, and no you do not need to purchase any extra support contract if you don't want too.
(I surely didn't do that and also never needed that, there is also very good online tech support on its sister app called enstore (its webstore, you can sign up for this for free since it is in Beta.)
I use checkout on a mac mini with touch screen ( iiyami) and that goes very well, in fact after installing I was gone abroad for 7 months and our employees whom had no training only called once for a minor issues.
Even after plenty power outage that is common where I live, the database always came back good.
If you have a busy store it is best to move the database to an external server or nas harddisk, but that counts for all POS systems. Its connected webstore is very good looking and easy to populate.
Ok it doesn't have a discount coupon option (yet) it also isn't specialized for restaurant or y cannot attach a scale. (deli's) Further it has still some issues with variations of products and its listings.
There is another program called Lightspeed that might be better for bigger databases and multi stores.
It also seems that that program has just released a new version and currently looks more mature.
Bottom line if you want a great looking webstore and have a not so huge database this program rocks.
I think and hope there will come a newer version soon that will bring it to the next level.

Bought this to run a bookstore for a non-profit. It works well. The only improvement it could use is a simple way to create a custom report from the database, they do have about 12 reports. Now you must code the custom report. The company has been great to deal with. We bought a new Mac Mini computer a bar code reader, a receipt printer, a drawer, and the system has worked as it should and it was very inexpensive.

This is the worse MYOB software ever made, you don't even imagine THe things you have to deal with in Tech Support. The Database of this product is now handled well in Pyton, Don't try to buy this, when you run a Small business and you trust this software and you have people that due you, and this software get stock while it says that the Local Server unavailable, this is going to be your nightmare!!
