Great for what they are !Aug 18, 2008
By Richie T These are very good inexpensive folding headphones. The sound is pretty good and they have lasted much longer than expected at the hands of my young son. They have outlasted much more expensive headphones which I have purchased for him in the past. Do not expect BOSE or any of the other upmarket headphones quality, but they're a lot better than one would expect for the price paid. I have rated them accordingly, and have just purchased additional pairs as backup as well as a pair for myself!

I hope mine are defectiveSep 10, 2010
By Martin I bought a few pairs of these. The design looks like a good idea, but it's hard to figure out how to fold them up without bending or breaking something.
I would be willing to forgive that, but the sound quality is terrible. Right away, I noticed that they were not as loud as any other headphones I had used. I had to turn my volume way up. But they are quickly overdriven, so you can't turn it up too much or they will sound like horrible crunching static. The worst part is the plug. When you twist the plug in the jack or even just move your head, there is a burst of static.
Like the title says, I hope mine are defective, because if they're all junk like mine were then you should look elsewhere. It's a shame there are no good folding headphones in the $20 price range.

UsefulJun 16, 2011
By TW Folds for easy storage. Not super durable plastic, but it has not broken yet and my kids use it to listen to DVDs on the plane. I like the price, hence 4 stars.

Great For Classical MusicJun 05, 2011
By ClassicMusicBuff I agree with those who had trouble folding and storing these headphones, but at these prices buy several for future use - they are almost disposable.
Yes, you will get more sonic boom from other headsets if that is "your cup of tea." But I love clasical music, with all the subtle nuances to a piece. I have tried more expensive head sets, including those by Bose - do you know that Bose sound is created "artificially" by resonance sound boost - man, we did that in the 1950s with Base Reflex Cabinets.
So for clasical music I want "the real sound" and the Coby Model CVH56 does it the best, that is the most real, compared to other sets so I can strongly recommend them for classical music lovers like myself.

great head phonesAug 22, 2010
By Susan Paoletta We bought 4 of these head phone for our kids 13, 11, 4 and 3 to go to Europe and they worked great for all of them and did not break. For the money you can not go wrong and if they can hold up to a 4 and 3 yr. boyz, for a month being used everyday I would say they are good. The sound quality seems good as well.
