5Dogz4-The Easiest Virtual Pet!Aug 30, 2000

I own Dogz4 and Catz4. I recommend them both to any animal lover! In Dogz4, you adopt as many Dogz as you like. You get to choose from ten Dog Breeds, such as Great Danes,Poodles, Bulldogs, Dalmatians, Scotties, Pigz, Mutts, Chihuahuas, and many more! Once you've adopted your petz, you bring them home. There, you can feed them, train them, dress them up, collect new toys, and bring them to different places! Once they're adults, you can breed a female dog and a male dog to have a puppy! I prefer mixed breeds because it's always a surprise but you can also breed purebreds! But you can't breed a dog with a pig or a dog with a cat or a dog with a bunny or a cat with a pig or a cat with a bunny. If you have WinZip, you can download breeds such as Wolves, Germen Sheperds, Border Collies and many more off of the internet! I give this game five starrs!

5Good Game, A Must Have for Dog LoversFeb 08, 2000

Hi! My interest in petz started when we recived dogz1 as a sort of bonus for buying a Hewlet Packard printer. As it turned out, I later wanted Dogz3(4 wasn't out yet). After a hundred petz, lots of downloads and about a year, Dogz 4 came out and I got it. Dogz 4 is wonderful, though downloads are sparse. Though I love dogs, not cats, I am contomplating getting Catz4,so I have the whole package. I think dogz4 will be best if you don't already have dogz3,but it is still good. PS:Also, you should know that the voice thing doesn't work.

5A Lot of FunMar 25, 2000

After ording this I wasn't sure about how real it would seem but I got the answer to that right after I downloaded it. You get these Dogz as puppys and teach them tricks and other neat things you can do with a real dog. I had the most fun I have ever had on a computer game on Dogz 4. If anyone ever asked me if they should get this, I would let them see how cool my 2 Dachshunds are. I have let so many friends use the game for a few days and they all agree, It is just GREAT!

5This is the best computer game I've ever got! <3Jun 20, 2000

This is a wonderful product for kids! Espeically kids, after all I am a kid. This dog game is good because if you don't have a dog (like me) this game is almost like having your very own real dog at your own home. You can train them to do tricks, give them food or toys, rock them in a basket so they fall asleep, breed them when they become adults, put clothes on them, take them to the beach, circus, gohst town, kitchen family room, and best of all you can have as many as you want! I extremly recomend this book for anyone, even someone with a dog(s).I hope you do buy this because its just about the only game I ever play on the computer now.And don't listen to those other poeple who have a rating any lower than this and don't worry you won't ever get bored of this game!

4Pretty KewlJan 12, 2002

I wasn't sure what to think after reading all of the reviews here on Amazon. Half are positive, half are negative. But when I finally received my game (ordered somewhere else) my experience was half-n-half also! The game was quite frustrating to install, as it kept asking me to install something that my dad and I couldn't figure out. But once it WAS installed correctly I had loads of fun. It's great to be able to have your own virtual pets to dress, feed, play with, and care for. A real puppy is probably even more enjoyable, but this game is wonderful if you can't have one. The new play scenes, like the Wild West and Gypsy Circus, are ok, but I personally like the regular kitchen, family room, and backyard better. You can also create your own playscenes using your own pictures. The Playscene Editor actually was very easy to use, telling you exactly what you needed to do to create the playscene. There is a wide variety of great toyz and accesories to use, and 10 breedz to choose from. (As well as a pig!) The voice rcognition works ok, but I haven't experimented too much with that. A big excitement that comes with this game is the ability to breed your dogz! It's usually pretty easy to make your petz fall in love (the Help section of the game gives you tips), and in a few days (not even a week) you have a beautiful new puppy that Mommy carries around with her! I love watching the pupz grow up. I would definitely recommend this game. Oh, but you won't want to buy it if you don't have much hard drive space because it requires a whopping 300 MB. :( As long as you've got the GIG, you should have the game!
