Exceptional program for little kidsFeb 07, 2007

This lovely program is gentle and low-key, paced slowly so a small child will not feel overwhelmed with the razza-ma-tazz of a lot of other preschool software. The child is given time to think and make his/her decision, and gradually unfold the many delights Millie and Bailey offer.
In fact, so many different activities are presented creatively and educationally (counting, alphabet, etc.) as well as opportunities to make greeting cards, record sounds, including their own voices, that the child will get several years of enjoyment from this product...my kids did, and we still have fond memories of the fun. Now I'm ordering it for my niece.
It's an old program (maybe Windows 95) and it may need the Compatibility Wizard available on later versions of Windows. Not hard, just type it in the SEARCH function.
Don't miss this one. It's the best!

Works ok, but see comments belowDec 22, 2009

Pro:
Geared for pre-pre-school. Low cost. Lively music and graphics.
Con:
Cannot increase screen size as program is 16 bit and not fully compatible with Windows XP (NT 4.0) and later. Compatibility mode makes no difference. As such, my 4 year-old complained it was hard to see icons, etc.

My daughter loves it!Feb 02, 2009
By K. Buchanan My almost 3 year old recently started playing on a computer in daycare. She loves Bailey! Her favorite games are Little, Middle, and Big (where you select the appropriate shoes for each character), and the Nursery Rhyme game (where you select the appropriate word to complete the rhyme). Some of the games are too challenging for now, but she is just starting out; I expected the product take awhile to master. The graphics are pretty simple, older preschoolers used to JumpStart adventures or other Sim-type games might lose interest quickly, but overall I am very pleased with this purchase.
It does not have quality graphicsNov 20, 2010

My son would not even try to play it after it was cut on. It did not grab his attention.
fun for kidsAug 06, 2008
By F. Armstrong I purchased this one for my 3 yr. old daughter. It worked in Vista and my daughter seem to love the game. the quality of the video is not really great but other than that, it's A OK.
