1Don't waste your money.Apr 21, 2007

The noise cancellation simply doesn't work. The previous comment about

Bose headphones is true; you will hear things around you such as conversations, but at least they partially cancel out continuous noise (i.e. periodic tones like machinery). These headphones do absolutely nothing in that regard. Don't buy these.

1These f***ing suckApr 07, 2007

ok first, i actually would have gave it less then 1 star, the little battery pack on the cord is annoying when your at a desk trying to work and study it gets hung under the edge of the desk, and the sound is horrible, it sounds like its being blured, or faded real thick sound, even you change your eq setting it doesn;t help much if at all, my $2.50 ear buds sound better then this thing, and for 40 dollars its not worth it and complete waste of money and time. The only way to cancel out noise is to turn the volume up as much as possible and still then you here noise not to mention the speakers shake and distort even at half your computers volume, again not worth the money at all. i might buy another pair if they were 4 or 5 dollars because thats about all there worth.

5Great headphones!Dec 12, 2007

For the price I paid excellent headphones! Most people make the mistake of comparing a high-end product and intermediate quality product. For this price range, this is an excellent product. I used to have Sony, Logitech, Creative and Philips headphones with more than this price and I can say RCA is the best among them. Yeah, if you compare it with a Bose with $300 price tag on it, this is not a good choice for you.

2It's DecentMar 02, 2007
By Daniel Night "Do to others as you would have them do to you."
Thesse headphones are not good if your pc is on the bottom of a tall desktop, the cord is too short and the battery section keeps snagging on things and it is extremely annoying.

The headphones are not a comfortable fit for people with medium sized heads - I had to constantly bend them (to the point of slightly damaging them) so that it stopped cutting off the blood supply to my ears.

The noise cancellation has no effect as far as I can tell and having the battery weigh down.

The weight of the battery section, with a battery in it made for an irritating feeling, especially knowing it wasn't doing anything.

They sound decent, but after a few days horrible scratching sounds would often appear and then a ringing sound would sometimes and would not go away when I disconnected the cord and put it back in, it went away on its own though. I'm not sure if it was a problem with the headphones themselves or some mystery interference from someone operating a shortwave radio, but that's what I would hear.

The thing I did not like most about it besides the constant snagging was the build up of moisture in my ear. I think it may also have caused me to have a long lasting balance problem because I may have gotten some inner ear infection although it disappeared a few months ago. Then again it could have been from me drinking a lot of aspartame loaded drinks which I learned a few months ago can cause damage to your brain, ears, and various organs, eek.

As for ear softness, it's much better then having hard unergonomic plastic hurting the insides of your ears, I wish it were softer but it's not, it's good for the price though.

Save your money for something better.

1Worst headphones I've ever ownedMay 29, 2011
By Rossley
I got an okay airplane adapter, but I can't say anything else positive about this junk. This is the only thing I've ever purchased in my life I can unequivocally say was a complete waste of money. I got them for $14 online, and if I could've sent them back for less than half of the purchase price, I would've. I'll never use them for anything. Forget about the fact that they don't have ANY noise-cancelling ability outside of the pads over your ears, they sound horrible. I've owned over 30 sets of earbuds and headphones, and any $3 earbuds can blow the doors off of these. Every frequency is destroyed by these things. Even someone who likes thundering hip-hop bass wouldn't like these, because the bass, while powerful, isn't powerful in a good way. It's very muddy, and that muddiness overpowers and mutes every frequency above 500Hz. I'd be shocked to find out these things can reproduce anything more than 40-4000Hz. Music over a telephone sounds better than this. I don't know how anybody who's ever tried any other headphones can say these sound good. Add that battery case dangling one foot under your ear and catching on everything, and you have a perfect storm of wretched design flaws making everything about these headphones unusable.
