Nice light, but weak keychain linkDec 24, 2010
By Zé Ricardo I bought one of these about a year ago and used it all the time, had it attached to my keys. I love the button and the fact that you cannot accidentally leave it on. It is really easy to find the button in the dark because of the way it's textured and set in the case. But then the place where the little chain attaches to the case broke. I bought another one of these a few months ago, after trying another keychain light that I bought at Lowe's and which really made me appreciate this one. However, the same thing happened and the link on the case broke again. If they could figure out how to make this light stay on its chain it would be the best keychain light ever.

Super "bright" LED-Lamp Keychain LightOct 16, 2010
By Rex the Cat For the cost this is fine and does the job. The light is bright but I would not call it "super bright". It is good enough for the job of finding my way up onto my porch and seeing the keyhole, or for things like that. But then again it is just a keychain light. I have had other brands of keychain lights that were a bit brighter. I like the look of this one - it is a nice design and how something is styled is important to me. Life is too short to have boring looking things when nice looking things are available. One aspect I am a bit less than thrilled with is the one switch is easy to push and well exposed which sounds great, but I wonder what will happen if I have my keys in my pocket and they press against the button and that might drain the battery after a few hours. The second aspect is that it is slightly larger (maybe 20% larger) than other keychain lights I have had. That would not bother me if the extra size had been used for a second light bulb or a larger more powerful battery to make it really "super" bright, but it wasn't. Overall, I am happy enough with this.

Another Cheap LightApr 26, 2012
By JNieporte I'll use the word cheap instead of inexpensive. There are lots of inexpensive lights out there that are still good; this one is cheap. I got eight of these in a bulk buy from WalMart. They're Rayovac-branded, but they all come out of the same factory; the only difference is where they end up to get packaged. A review of each light would be too time-wasting, considering the lack of quality. I'll leave my general thoughts below... -One was DOA; it never turned on. I removed the batteries and they tested good, and swapping batteries from a good light did nothing. -Each light is held together with six small Phillips screws. Three of mine were missing at least one screw. -The light requires you to hold down the button to turn on, and let go to turn off. I hate this, as I have to keep the button held down for light. There is no click for on, click for off. -The LED itself is a standard 5mm white LED. All had a blue-ish tint, but nothing horrible. -The plastic casing is brittle. I gave one to my (at the time) 9-year-old daughter and told her to break it with her hands. She bent it like a piece of cardboard and it snapped into pieces. Not something you want on your keyring. -The batteries last for about ten minutes of use, and this is decreased by a lot if you use all of that time at once. -Yes, the batteries are replaceable, but the threads strip out after one battery change due to the shoddy plastic casing.
In short, avoid these. I know other users thought this was an okay light, but I don't. I had eight of them, and I had to do a lot of part-swapping to make a half-decent one. If you're really strapped for cash and need a good light, the Rayovac pen light sold at WalMart for $3 is good... Rayovac BRSLEDPEN-B Brilliant Solutions LED Pen Light (Colors may Vary)
If it has to go on your keys, any of these are worlds better... LRI AW Photon LED Keychain Micro-Light, White Beam Streamlight 73001 Nano Light Miniature Keychain LED Flashlight, Black Swiss+Tech MLCSMX-U Micro-Light Ultra Keychain Flashlight with Bright White LED, Key Ring- Assorted Colors
Battery died in a few weeksApr 20, 2012
By NC Techie The battery died in a few weeks with minimal use. Now it's trash. There is no clear way to change the battery.
Great lightApr 18, 2012
By Sasfl Great key chain light. Puts off a lot of light for a little flashlight. Small enought to keep on key chain. It is also helpful for looking for things in your purse!
