I purchased this product and found the learning curve to be extremely steep. Download Google's free version of "Sketchup" instead. There are tons of instructional videos online and they will get you up and drawing in no time at all.

I bought this because it was a cheap Cad program. I was hoping for a more up to date look and similar tool functions as the CAD program I was taught in school. That was Auto Cad 2004.
This Turbo CAD didn't really grab my attention and I wasn't interested in teaching myself a new Cad program. I played with the floor plan mode a bit but switching back and forth between that and the 3D mode was a bit tricky. That was pretty much the end of it so I gave it to my brother. For the price it's probably worth what it is and it may be suitable for new CAD users. Shop around first before choosing this version.

I have been using TurboCad since the earliest releases many years ago. I can run the legacy software blind-folded. The newer version, though, can save or export drawing files in formats that are easier to use with other drawing programs or create PDF files. So, I wanted that capability and installed Version 10 Deluxe along side my original Version 2.0. You see I really hang on to old stuff that still works and that old stuff is really easy to use. The customer support, however, has always been horrible. You have to jump thru hoops to get activation codes to use anything after the first 30 days. If I called to get these in the past I always got a different story. Either that version was not supported anymore or did not require the code. And if, heaven forbid, your computer crashed or you re-installed the operating system, it was start all over time. I lately went through that and got a message that I could not use the software because my clock setting had been changed. They act like you stole their stupid software. I finally googled this version and bought 2 copies from an Amazon approved vendor. Their price, packing, and follow-up were terrific. Since it is obsolete software, I still had to make the dreaded phone call for activation codes. I got a great guy on the phone. He is Mark at IMSI customer support and he got me going without a hitch - even though the version I bought is #10 and they are currently marketing #15 or #16.
